He's talking about movies not Comic Book Stories

I saw a video Super Powers in Story telling. Here is the important thing that I'm not sure he knows, he is talking about movies, not about storytelling. He says story telling, but he is just talking about the big screen. Invulnerable is a horrible power for movies and TV. It is hard to translate. There needs to be an off switch or a vulnerability. That is why Superman the Animated Series made him weak to electricity.
But movies and TV shows are not the only place where you have superpower stories. I would say that comic books are the primary places these powers are used. They are not only plot devices but honest parts of the characters. This might be why Kitty Pryde is one of the best Xmen in the comics, but lackluster in the movies. Stories where Kitty Pryde is under powered compared to the other members of the team, stories where shes helped because she is unique. Stories where she almost fades away when her powers are out of control. She is the star of one of the best limited series of all time, Kitty Pryde and Wolverine.
When I think of Invulnerability in comics, I think of stories like Astro City where the Samaritan has nothing to fear, but he is also very lonely. His Invulnerability makes him isolated, because nothings has stakes, but he also feels close to nothing. You can also take a character like Bethany from the Next Men. Her invulnerability makes her feel nothing and cuts her off from intimacy which she desperately wants.
Lets be clear, super hero movies are not comic books, they do not have the same pacing, the same story beats even the same range of ideas. It is so much easier to have a character think and feel in a comic book than in a movie. This greatly changes the kinds of stories that can and should be told in each medium.
Superheros took over comics in the 80s. For a long time there were a lot of genres of comics. There is a reason that comic books, especially episodic stories are really good for superhero stories. You can tell stories about what characters give up by having those powers. It is not just spectacle, it is not just for the action scenes. The best superhero stories are about pushing limits.
