Health insurance Is not health care

I have been thinking about Massachusetts attempt to provide universal health insurance. I have had jobs in the past that has offered useless health insurance. For a hundred dollars a month I could get a plan that did not cover much. At the time I choose to go without because I knew I was better off to play for health care out of my own pocket.

I worry that this will be the case for many people in Massachusetts. They will not be better off if they have to pay for a plan that does not offer much coverage. I have not heard anyone being this up in the debate so far.
