Thoughts on San Francisco Rents
I have been thinking about this post about Rents in San Francisco. If the average rent is $2700 for a one bedroom, that means a household in a one bedroom needs to make at least $97000 a year to rent a one bedroom. Just let that one set in.
I really think this is because of the housing policy in the city. There are just not enough housing units. People should be building large, multiple unit apartment complexes. They need to be built all over the city. I just cannot see this being done. People will just complain about these numbers without a clear idea of how to impact the market. This makes the whole situation maddening.
