No, I am a different Richard Thomas

I have a really common name. When it comes to first and last name, I am top 15. That means there are a lot of me out there. Twice this week I had to tell someone the Richard Thomas coming up in their search was not me. For a long time my blog made me come up first on Google searches for Rich Thomas, but not any more.

I remember people talking about how phone numbers are obsolete with today's internet. The problem is that any kind of search has really problems. There are lots of people that are not unique. Identity has such value right now. We live in a world of credit and reputation. It seems any way to find people has a lot of issues with finding the wrong person.
