The Headless customer

There is something about this add that seems a little odd. All of the iPad advertisements the people are headless, That makes me think Apple sees us as being without personality. All of the iPod ads the people are faceless. This means something, but I am not sure what. I feel it has to do with Apple having distant for their customer.

I think it's just that they want you to see yourself in those photos, so putting a face on them would mean that you certainly couldn't say "that cool person up there is me." If it's generic and un-personal enough, it leaves that door open.
