Infinite Jest

When I heard that David Foster Wallace committed suicide I was not surprised. While I could never make it all the way through Infinite Jest or A Supposedly Fun Thing I'll Never Do Again, they did have some impact on me. I remember reading them and feeling the author was unhappy with the world around him. I know that it is dangerous to connect an artist and his art. I know that you do not see the whole artist, only the parts of the artist as they are showing you. There was still something there that was quite unsettling. I should give his books another try.
