Roadtrip - Portland

I loved planning a trip out well in advance. It is not that I do anything practical with that time. I just think about the trip and talk about it a lot. I daydream about being on the trip. I see it as a way to get more enjoyment out of my trip. I like taking some of that enjoyment now.

I am trying out Yahoo Trip Planner. I am not sure it is very useful for this trip. It might be more useful if I was not going somwhere I know so well.

Does anyone have any trip advice for my trip to Portland. Is there anything I should make sure I see or do while I am there? Has anyone been there recently? Is there anything I should avoid?
