Old Ideas

I found something I wrote in an old notebook.

"We are a generation of Hamlets."

I think I wrote this when I was 24 years old. My friends had been out of college for a little while, but none of us had any idea what we are doing with our lives. I looked around and no one could make a decision.

I do not feel that way anymore. In the last nine years or so I changed the way I view the world. I learned that action is important. It is better to regret the things you do, not the things you don't. You do have to think before you act, but action is important. If you see that your life is not going well, take action. I have been thinking about this a lot lately. The actions I have taken in the past year have served me well.
