Mascot Hall Of Fame

I found out today that the Phillie Phanatic is part of the first class inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame. The other two members are The San Diego Chicken and the Phoenix Sun Gorilla. I have always thought the Phanatic should be in the baseball Hall of Fame. He is the best baseball mascot. I know that might sound like I am a homer, the Phillie Phanatic's act is something special. He was actually funny not just annoying.

It is not surprise that Dave Raymond is the man who started the Mascot Hall Of Fame. Dave Raymond is the man who created the Phillie Phanatic. He was in the costume for many years. My guess that made the Phillie Phanatic a shoe-in to get in.
