Thanks for the time, the Supreme Court was better for your time
Some people have said that Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor's resignation Friday was a bombshell. I thought the only bombshell was that she was the only one not to resign.
I think that O'Connor will remember well as the first female Supreme Court Justice. She lease some pretty big shoes to fill. Twenty-Five years after he appointment the world of law is a different place. Now women are almost half of the students entering law school. I think she is leaving an amazing legacy.
I think it is good that Bush has not announced his nominee for this opening yet. It will be a real fight. There is a good chance that many people will get a blood nose over this nomination. It is good that O'Connor will have a few days for people to remember her before the real news circus starts.
