How does Duke spends education dollars?

I know that Duke is a private educational institution. I know that they can spend their money as they choose. If my kid was going to Duke I would be a little upset that Duke is giving incoming freshmen iPods. My money is still going to do this. There are few colleges in America that get no Federal money. I know that some students at Duke are getting Federal aid. I know student life is important, but I still think this is a waste of money.
