Compassion v. Sympathy
Peter Conrad keeps on telling me that I am an example of someone who is not sympathetic to other people, but is very compassionate. From time to time I will say something andd he will point out that it is another example of this.
There was a guy playing gutair at a coffee shop. I did not like most of his songs, but I really liked one of them. I really like artist how are DIY. I bought two of his CDs, more because I like to support artists then because I thought I would like the songs. Peter says that this is an example of compassion. I did not try liking the songs, but I have compassion for an artist trying to start out.
I am never sure what to think when he tells me this.
